Episode 1 Prologue
The permafrost of the snowy, northernmost part of the continent.
A great battle was taking place there now.
[···You are quite something. As expected of my opponent. Knight of Light!]
A being floating in the air, flapping a black robe and scattering black energy.
The figure, leading the undead under his command, was like the advent of a demon king.
The calamity that has returned to the continent. The Immortal King.
Inside the grotesque mask, broken from the fierce battle, there was only a skull, and the blue ghost fire emanating from its eye sockets terrified those who encountered it.
"As expected of the nightmare of the continent, the Immortal King! But we will never give up. As long as the power of light is with us, we will not lose!"
The knight, holding up his sword of light against the Immortal King, declared boldly.
His armor was damaged and wounded from the continuous battle, but his eyes were burning with conviction.
"Yeah, it's not that great, is it?"
"If we join forces, we can overcome this!"
And the comrades with him.
All of them were veteran heroes who had overcome all kinds of adversity to reach this point.
Kwa-gwa-gwang—!
At last, the knight's comrades and the undead began another fierce battle together.
While his comrades were blocking the undead, the Knight of Light and the Immortal King resumed the battle that they had fought countless times.
The sword, enveloped in dawn light, cut through the pitch-black darkness, drawing a beautiful trajectory, and the cursed abyss eagerly bared its teeth to devour the light.
An airtight exchange of attacks and a continuous flow of battle.
The precise exchange of attacks was so beautiful that it almost seemed like a staged play.
'It is staged, though. How did it come to this...'
Yes.
The terror that has returned to the continent, the moving calamity. The Immortal King.
The paladin of the Main God Church and the Sword of Conviction. The Knight of Light.
And myself, sitting in a warm room, watching the spectacle like a movie while munching on chicken.
Because all of them were 'me'.
